Velux Roof Windows from Our Own Projects
This window setup has a total width of 446 cm and a height of 140 cm, providing an impressive amount of natural daylight throughout the space. For optimal light control, we installed Velux solar-powered blackout blinds. These can be easily operated using a Velux remote control.
Velux Classico Roof Windows
The Velux Classico roof windows are available in various sizes. The windows in this photo, for example, measure 78x140 cm. These windows have a classic look with black exterior profiles and a central mullion, while still offering the excellent insulation and ventilation performance you expect from Velux windows.

VELUX Roof Windows
When AVW Roof Window Specialist installs your roof windows, we can also install Velux external sun protection and Velux window decoration at the same time. The options are extensive. These two linked Velux roof windows, for example, can be fitted with VELUX roller shutters or solar-powered external sun blinds.
Electric:
Choose electric VELUX sun blinds for your electrically operated VELUX roof windows. These products connect directly to your electric roof window. For solar-powered or manually operated roof windows, the Solar versions are the ideal choice.
VELUX Dome
Velux offers various solutions for flat roofs. The Velux domes are available in different sizes and in both fixed and electrically operated versions. Thanks to an extra window with double safety glazing, the Velux dome provides excellent insulation values.
Blackout pleated blinds for domes
The VELUX blackout pleated blind for VELUX domes darkens the room and offers protection against cold. The aluminium coating between the fabric layers enhances insulation and increases indoor comfort.
Light and Ventilation
Light and ventilation are the main reasons to choose a Velux roof window. With just one or two Velux windows, we can transform a dark attic into a livable space with sufficient ventilation options.
All Velux roof windows are equipped with a ventilation handle that runs the full width of the window. Based on the layout of your attic and the structural possibilities, we can advise you on the best place to install your Velux window to take full advantage of natural ventilation.
Velux Roof Window Glass Types
Velux offers different types of glazing: standard HR++ double glazing and triple glazing. It’s good to know that the standard HR++ glass qualifies for a government subsidy and is listed on the ISDE reporting code list (2025). More information and conditions can be found on the government website. We usually install Velux roof windows with HR++ double glazing as standard.

VELUX ACTIVE is a smart home solution that connects your electric products, allowing blinds and shutters to automatically protect your home from excessive heat. Your roof windows can open automatically to let in fresh air and maintain healthy indoor air quality. Everything is controlled through the intuitive VELUX ACTIVE with NETATMO app. The climate sensor measures temperature, CO2 levels, and humidity and via the app, you can set your preferred values to regulate the indoor climate to your liking.
